Kandice & Brady – Calgary Wedding Photographer

My sister is married! The wedding is over (breath a sigh of relief and relaxation) and I have finished half of my editing. What can I say – I had a long drive home this week and was able to edit on my laptop in the car. Gotta love technology!

Anyway…there is so much to say about this wedding I have no idea how I’m going to put it into words! It was…stressful, emotional, amazing, happy-sad, exciting, fantastic, fabulous and beautiful! To see my sister get married was unreal, and to help her prepare, plan, shop, get ready and share all of the emotions of this experience with her was incredible. And to top it off, I was so honored that she asked me to do her photos. She was such a stunningly beautiful bride, I don’t think any photo could truly do her justice.

Before I share some of my favorite photos with you – let me give you a brief history on Kandice & Brady. They met at University down in the US, and as you probably remember from her engagement post – they met in the library when Brady asked Kandice to judge a ‘chair racing contest.’ I think it’s safe to say that the circumstances in which they met illustrate them pretty well. They are a very playful, fun couple who always seem to be laughing and smiling when they are together. I love them with all of my heart and I’m so thrilled to have Brady as a member of our family!

So – onto the photos. This is going to be a LONG post of pictures for two reasons…1. Their wedding was broken up a bit with two receptions because they grew up in different cities (and countries) so we had a few events to cover including 2 receptions, the actual wedding itself, Kandice’s bridals and a family luncheon. Whew. And the 2nd reason I have so many photos is because…well she’s my sister and I couldn’t decide which ones to share.

Anyway…we had some tough light on their wedding day with a completely white and dull overcast sky….but we made the most of it and I think the beautiful bride & her handsome groom shone right through the haze. Here is a peek at their wedding. To view a fast-pace slide show for a peek at their wedding experience; click here.

{My cousin Cyndi is a gem and did our nails & toes the night before the ceremony.}

Kandice, and everyone getting ready at the hotel before the wedding.

After the ceremony they came out to greet the waiting crowd of family & friends.

I know I don’t normally post a lot of family photos – and these ones were tough since I had to be in most of them.:)But here is B’s family and my own below. You’ll note the photobomber in one of them…can you see him?

Quite sure this is my favorite photo from the wedding day!

I know this doesn’t look like the ideal place for wedding photos…but Brady grew up in Idaho so I felt a Potato field was appropriate for him.:)I was impressed with their timing & height!Quite the emotional toast. My dad is always such a baby when he gives his daughters away.;)He’s pretty good about getting the crowd to shed some tears.  He joked about getting laser eye surgery when he got home so his “contacts would stop making his eyes water.” Awe!

Me and my sister! And…Brady’s sister Kate. She cracks me up. That shot is from the Open House they had in Idaho. She was directing traffic to the refreshments.Studly little muffin before the Calgary reception.Detail shots from the Calgary Reception. Thanks to Nathan K for helping me shoot that reception.They went with a Paris themed reception so a massive Crepe bar was appropriate – and delicious.Kind of out of order but these are some bridals I did for my sister the week before her wedding.And more Idaho photos…
